Revisit Past Dramas
Neverland x Raveolution3/13/2017 I know, it's wayyyy too late to still be writing this, but no matter. I'll publish this anyway. This event was weird, in my opinion. It was marketed as "a rave party where you get a chance to be doused in paint in powder form". Very much like that Indian festival (don't ask me what), not only that a similar party is also going to be held at a different place. Since I'm just a beginner in the music festival scene I just went with what ever decision my friends made.
Let me tell you something about me, I am not the kind of person who is willing to get down and dirty for the sake of fun. Oh no! I am down but I will not be dirty. I know, I'm such a killjoy, whatever! As one might expect, I was not very excited about the prospect that I will have to bring extra clothes nor be going back home covered in colored whatever. Still I went to the festival trying to hide my anxiousness over what would happen once I get there. There were goods& bads at the event of course. I mean inflatable playgrounds are the coolest ever. The giant slide was just too hard to climb. I mean I think they should give out helmets to anyone entering the slide. It was soooo slippery, and the fear comes from overthinking that you might crack your head when you fall. The obstacle course was fun too again, I think helmets should be given out as a safety precaution. Not only that, I think I would have enjoyed the inflatables if it wasn't too dark( I mean it was nighttime, what do you expect?). Who knows if you are already stepping on a foot or a head.. There were other booths of course, with never ending lines. I mean I don't get why lines are so chaotic, I mean, they were invented so there was a semblance of order right? Plus, I cannot understand why there was water shortage in the event. I mean literally, there was this superr long line to this booth selling water. In the end they had to let people out so they could buy from the food Mercato across the street. In the end, I wasn't covered in any unnecessary color. Some already had paint on their bodies, yes. I still thought I was lucky enough to be spotless. It was a bit awkward Monday back to work. The others, who went to the other music fest had pictures and stories that they were covered in paint. I was just trying to avoid answering questions if I had the chance to be covered in paint. The answer is, Nope, not gonna happen.

Cosmo Summer Party4/8/2016 So there I was, sitting in the office procrastinating. I just found out that Cosmopolitan Magazine is throwing a summer party(their first!). All you had to do to get in was email your name along with 4 of your friends' names. Honestly, I wasn't expecting to be invited, seeing that my name was not on my friend's list when I accidentally peeked at the email she was sending.. I also didn't think my other friends would be interested in attending anyway so I forgot all about it. Things changed when said friend asked me if I was available by March 19. In a twist of fate, it turns out she sent a different email because the people in her original list wasn't available. So of course I got excited, I mean it's Cosmo's first summer party. Plus, I have been so stressed lately that I have to in Rihanna's words "shake the stress away". I came to the Pool Club ahead of my friends, and I have to say I did have a lot of fun. Aside from music provided by 2 of the country's sought after DJs, there were booths from sponsors with fun activities. Palmolive had a photobooth, and gave away a waterproof pouch with a sample of their shampoo and conditioner. Kojie- San also offered to have your photo taken with their hot models, unfortunately I wasn't able to snag one of their tote bags 'coz the line was too long. They ended up not having enough to give to everyone. I got condoms, and a hug from one of the models of Okamoto. There were also games and free drinks to enjoy. I would definitely be looking forward to the next Cosmo Summer Event, hopefully there will be more sponsors and more fun. Thanks Cosmo for kicking off my summer season. :)
*Check out more photos here: Summer 20164/6/2016 This summer is by far my most eventful yet. Last 2014, I just endured the heat at home, while last year I definitely took advantage of our office's air conditioning to beat the heat. What makes this summer different? Well, it's just that my social calendar(wow!?) is quite full. Now that I have finally embraced my inner party girl, my calendar is definitely fuller than my usual. So What? If you haven't noticed yet, summer is actually festival season.
Almost every week of the month someone finds an excuse to hold summer parties or music festival. Proof? Here's the list of the things that I have lined up for this season(they are of course subject to change by the management):
*Stay tuned for stories from events above that are already ticked off. :) 2015: The Year of Fun.024/1/2016 I have been so lazy(take note::lazy not busy), this past year that I really didn't have time to record or put in writing whatever it is that happened everytime I marked something done in my social calendar. Yep, I now have a social calendar. Since, it's ow a bit late in my opinion to still write about it in detail, i've decided to just list down my social calendar last year. So here it is(that introduction sucked) it's not in chronological manner mind you:
1. Company Party in Raven Raven is a bar in BGC, the company where I work for right now, has quite a reputation to me for throwing awesome rave parties. But to close a bar in BGC? That is definitely something else, for me at least. As a member of the company's in-house dance group I was part of those who helped gave entertainment to an account's anniversary party. 2. TJR in Valkyrie -This marks a lot of firsts for me, my first time to go to a bar, go to a grown up party, see a dj that is not heard over the radio, let alone an international dj, exprience a confetti shower. TJR, mind you, is an american DJ (like the one who spins remixes at bars like Zedd or Calvin Harris) 3. Unleashed 6 -Unlike Unleashed 5 this was held at the MOA Concert Grounds, this was my second music festival, second time I saw Tommy Esguerra, first picture with Richard Juan, and apparently second tme I saw the very very very talented Carlo Atendido, and Nix Damn P. 4 Jadine in Pampanga -I literally don't know what came over me, when I went to this one. Here are the reasons why, how or what:
-TLC, one of my favorite channels, decided to come in manila for their food fest after Malaysia I think. Exciting part? Booths, Erwann Heussaff and the Fabulous Baker Brothers(yes, they are fabulous). When they got onstage to do a cooking demo I was I don't know how to describe it elated? excited:? Whatever, all I know is it was an effect of seeing their fabulousness in the flesh. Authoraprovechar el día. Archives
